Report Abuse ​

Use this page to tell us about content hosted with Stasho that is illegal, or that is phishing or malware. It is the notice-and-action channel under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act.

To report a security vulnerability in Stasho itself, email hello@stasho.xyz instead.

Report content ​

Open the report form. It needs no sign-in. You can also write to report@stasho.xyz.

The form asks for:

  1. The type of report: phishing or fraud, malware, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), other illegal content, copyright or trademark, spam, attacks or scanning from our servers, personal data, or other.
  2. The URL or IP address of the content (required).
  3. When you saw it (optional).
  4. Why you consider it illegal (required).
  5. Your role, for example a member of the public, the rights holder, or an authority (required).
  6. An order or case reference, if you have one (optional).
  7. Your name and email address. Required for every report except CSAM, which you can report anonymously.
  8. A good-faith statement that the information in your report is accurate and complete (required).

The form takes no file uploads. If you give an email address, we confirm that we received your report.

What happens next ​

  • A person reviews every report. No decision is made automatically.
  • If you gave an email address, you are told the decision by email.
  • If we know the content owner's email address, the owner receives a statement of reasons explaining what we decided and why.

Authorities ​

Orders from courts and other authorities can be sent through the same form or to report@stasho.xyz. Say in the description which authority you represent and which legal basis the order relies on.

What we can and cannot remove ​

Stasho can stop serving a site through its own addresses. Copies on third-party IPFS gateways, or copies that anyone has pinned elsewhere, are outside Stasho's control. Those need a report to whoever runs the gateway or the pin.

If you own the content and disagree ​

If your site was suspended or removed, reply to the statement of reasons we sent you, write to report@stasho.xyz, or use the form. Give the URL and explain why you think the decision was wrong. A person reviews it and we tell you the outcome by email.
